Chinese 24 solar Terms

The 24 solar terms are based on the solar calendar and are divided into 12 sections at 15-degree intervals. These 24 intervals express the changes in the natural seasons. Twenty-four solar terms are made up of 12 middle Qi and 12 end Qi, arranged in intervals of 15 days on average. The Chinese solar terms originated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River in China, and are based on the climate of the Yellow River area, combining natural seasonal phenomena with agriculture.
